Compare the tablet and its tooling on one basis

One quotation includes a tooling charge and another does not. Ask whether the second offer uses an existing shape or excludes tooling before assuming its total is lower for the requested tablet.
- One-time scope: Tooling, development and artwork with ownership and reuse terms.
- Recurring scope: Formula, coating, finished count and pack for the same order basis.
- Comparison output: First-order cost and repeat-order cost shown separately.
Decision output: Do not spread a one-time charge across an assumed lifetime volume without stating that assumption. An actual cost comparison requires the written quantities and terms from both proposals.
Use a per-finished-pack comparison on a stated quantity and delivery basis. List one-time charges separately and retain missing information as unknown. Tablet design preferences are not automatically cost-free substitutions; ask how the change affects process work, acceptance and materials before approving a revised price.
