Select a reference and identify the changes
Use the retained product catalogue to identify a starting entry. Request its current composition and available changes. Separate a label or pack change from changes to ingredient amounts, flavour, base or format; the latter may require development work.

Approve the product and artwork together
Keep the sample code, formula revision, pack components and artwork proof in one approval record. Ask which changes are included in the proposal and which require new sample work or component commitments. A catalogue image identifies the enquiry; it does not replace the authorised order specification.
Confirm supply terms and the repeat-order reference
Request the applicable minimum, price basis, sample charges, testing and document inclusions, delivery terms and proposal validity. Record what must be approved before scheduling. Keep the approved product and artwork revisions for a reorder so a packaging update is not mistaken for approval of a formula change.
Discuss the scope of your project
Send the product reference, brand and pack changes, destination and units per SKU. Ask for available customization and supply terms for that specific retail unit.
